The people who run this place are really nice and the cook was a crack up, it was a perfect spot for a family to gather and have a good time. It felt like going to grandma's house. The food was simple and good, just like eating at home. The prices were great! We will visit again.

Good, simple food. Average portions and prices. Fast, friendly service. I would go again.

This cute little restaurant is our new favorite, little known place in town. There is a hand painted tree that takes up an entire wall and part of the ceiling which is pretty neat. The staff is always friendly and our food comes quick. It is also extremely affordable- my hunny and I ordered two cheeseburgers, two drinks, and a slice of pie to go and our bill was about $15. Tasty food at those prices can't be beat!

My son liked the tree painted on the wall, and he noticed a pinecone owl looking down from a little ledge also. Service was friendly and pretty quick, on a Saturday about 1 pm. There were only two other tables taken, and we had a party of five. Likes: I liked their selection of kids' meals, which were pretty classic. The waitress told me they had whole wheat bread for the grilled cheese, and that they make their own chicken fingers and fish sticks (major props from me on that). My daughter chose the chicken fingers and my son got a burger. Both kids' meals came with a drink of choice (we got milk) and fries. I tried a bite of a chicken finger and it was ok. The burger was hand formed and not a premade patty. Dislikes: I ordered a chicken ceasar salad. The chicken was char grilled and was fine. The salad was the garden mix (iceberg lettuce, cabbage, carrots) which was disappointing, and it tasted like the anti-browning agent that's used on that stuff. It had teeny little premade croutons, bottled dressing, and preshredded parmesan. It came with a packet of Saltines. Meh. My dad's bbq beef sandwich looked like lunch meat and sauce on a pasty white bun. The fries were from a freezer bag. Neither child's plate had any veggies. My son's burger was served with only mayo (which he scraped off), no other toppings. He's seven and was still hungry when we left; luckily my dad had an apple in his truck. I came home and had an orange and a piece of whole grain bread to round out my meal. Bottom line? This is a cute little family diner with good service. It's many steps up from, say, Denny's, and less expensive too. I probably won't return just because I'd rather make something at home than eat what I thought was so-so food., which left me still hungry. They home-make many items, though, and that's a very good thing.

DO NOT GET THE MEATLOAF. The family crest sandwich was excellent and my son's spaghetti was way better than my meatloaf. I would only go there again if I use the restaurant.com .

Went there for lunch with my 2 yo and 17 yo. Heard a lot of advertising on the radio and decided to give it a try. Son ordered a burger and said it was "fair." Ordered sandwich for the little one and I am sure that was fine too. I asked the waitress how the meatloaf was and she said that it was good. It wasn't. It was horrible. I couldn't eat it. When the waitress asked if I needed a box, I told her no. She didn't even ask why. I felt we were intruding in their restaurant, although there was only one other table of patrons there. Certainly, not a friendly atmosphere that you expect at a family place. I was looking forward to trying a homemade dessert. I was afraid to try anything else, though. It was never offered to us anyway. We won't be back.

I have no idea what the food is like but if it's twice as good as the lack of service at this 12 table greasy spoon, it's still not worth going. I walked in, smiled and nodded at the regulars, made eye contact with the waitress, sat at a table for what seamed like about 10 minutes while the waitress, served food, brought out menus, chatted with those eating and never approached my table once. I may as well have been naked, wearing a pirate hat, with a parrot on my shoulder, or a dress. I was just happy enough to roast off all four wheels of my subi as I left their parking lot though. Don't bother.
